Former Rivers State, Commissioner of Police, now Assistant Inspector General, AIG Mustapha Mohammed Bala, today has formerly hand over to his successor CP Olugbenga Adepoju, in a colourful ceremony in Port Harcourt.

The outgoing Police Boss, equally outlined his achievements within the three months of his stay in Rivers State, even as he commended officers and men of the various divisions within their areas of operations for their gallant effort and collaboration in the fight against crime in the State.

Addressing the Media at the State Police Officer’s Mess in Port Harcourt, AIG Bala, said the command under his watch amid his stay in Rivers State, achieved the following; Rescue of 13 under ages pregnant girls, raiding and arrest of some criminal elements at different hideout in the State, recovery of firearms and explosive devices and arrest of suspected kidnappers, including other achievements.

The former CP also used the occasion to praised some of the newly promoted officers, and thanked the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, for his recommendation, stressing that promotion is not a right but a privilege to make people be alive to their duty.

Responding the new Commissioner of Police, Olugbenga Adepoju, thanked former CP now AIG, for all his achievements and promised to ride on his successes and improve on where necessary.
