Police Service Commission promotes Rivers, CP Eboka Friday, others to the rank of AIG, 11 others

The Police Service Commission has promoted the Commissioner of Police in Rivers State, CP Eboka Friday to the rank of Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG).

CP Eboka Friday now AIG was sent to  the State as Commissioner of Police in February 19, 2021.

The Commissioner of Police who hails from Agbor, Delta State holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Political Science from the University of Nigeria (UNN), Nsukka, Enugu State.

Until his redeployment to Rivers State, CP Friday was the Commissioner of Police, Railway Police Command, Lagos. 

CP Friday took over the leadership of the Rivers State Command from the former CP, Joseph Mukan, who was then elevated as an Assistant Inspector General of Police.

Among other remarkable things he may be remember for is the protection of the Civil populace from human rights abuse either by the Police or suspects.

His administration activated the Human Rights Desk in Rivers State Police Command and made it functional in handling domestic and sexual violence against women among others.

CP Eboka Friday never covers Officers and men of the Force found wanting in their lines of duty.
