WIDESPREAD JUBILATION ROCKS BENUE MEDIA AS FR. ALIA MEETS APC NATIONAL CHAIRMAN
Earlier today, APC top gubernatorial aspirant and priest of the Roman Catholic Church, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia alongside the leader of the party in Benue, Sen. George Akume paid a courtesy visit on the new national chairman, Sen. Abdullahi Adamu at the party secretariat in Abuja.
This was confirmed in a post on Facebook by the media consultant to the Honourable Minister and Benue APC leader, Dr. Aondona Mkor, he said with pictorial evidences; “His Excellency, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC His Excellency, Senator Dr. George Akume FNIM,Honourable Minister of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs with Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Alia earlier today at the National Secretariat of the APC, Abuja”
However, the reason for the visit is yet unknown but widespread Jubilation hits Benue media space as this is seen by many as an endorsement of the priest in the the coming election.
It will be recalled that, the PDP zoned it’s gubernatorial ticket to Vandeikya LGA, same LGA from where Fr. Alia hails, and is at the verge of concluding who flies the party’s flag in 2023. The priest is considered by a cross section of the electorates as the right and dependable choice, and are sure will clinge the seat if allowed to fly the APC flag in the coming election.
