The All progressive Congress –APC members loyal to senate Magnus Abe and THE MEETING political pressure group are all celebrating the decision of Chief Allwell Onyesoh to come out and contest the much coveted Rivers East comprising Obio/Akpor, Etche, Omuma, Ikwerre, Port Harcourt, Emohua, Ogu/Bolo and Okrika Local Government Areas of Rivers state.
One remarkable thing about rivers east senatorial district is the fact that has the state Capital as one of its enclave and host to major Oil and gas companies too.
Chief Allwell Onyesoh hails from Umuanyagu village in Etche Local Government Area Ward 5. And he has been in active politics for more than four decades having learnt much from his late Mother who was Women leader for Nigerian Peoples Party-NPP and later national Party of Nigeria-NPN in Old Rivers state comprising both Bayelsa and Rivers state in the second Republic.
