There is much controversy about Rivers state governor Nyesom Ezebunwo Wike’s Crucifixes (CROSS)affixed at Garrison Roundabout Aba Road Expressway in Port Harcourt Rivers state South-South Nigeria. The fact on the 1st day of January while Port Harcourt residents were celebrating Yuletide Police men were on the chase of Petroleum products illegal oil bunkered men in their trucks which burnt a pregnant woman and the driver of the truck both died on the spot. Again, there were two more accidents at the same Garrison junction since the erection of the controversial Crucifix (Cross). The symbol of Christian faith which is Crucifix that is Cross is found affixed at most public worship centres built by Governor Wike first at is the Christian worship Chapel at Government House Port Harcourt which bears a bold CROSS. Another is located at Ecumenical Worship Centre located at former Obi Wali Cultural Centre at Abonnema Wharf Mile One Port Harcourt. The private home of Governor Nyesom ezenwo Wike’s Rumuepirikom country home bears a bold crucifix (Cross) erected on top of his private Chapel.

RIVERS STATE GOVERNOR

The residents of Rivers state are now crying out that these crucifies are now Crosses of death since their presence has becomes source causing untimely death to citizens. And most of the political statements of the Rivers state governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike have emanated from the holly temples of God as he uses the Pulpits to attack his political foes especially ex-Governor and current Minister for Transportation Right Honourable Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi. Elsewhere among Governor Wike’s father runs a Pentecostal church that he is the General Overseer located along Azikiwe street by Ikoku Bus stop Ikwerre Road Port Harcourt the PDP state chairman Brother Felix Obuah is popularly addressed as brother a title he earns among his church congregants of Church of God Mission 7th Day Adventist with Omoku as its headquarters and another branch located at Eagle Island where Brother Felix Obuah built his exquisite mansion. In his Port Harcourt Country Home is a bold Crucifix mounted inside the church’s premises. The insecurity in Omoku even chased Brother Felix Obuah out of Omoku Town so much so that he went out of his principle which was not to build estates outside Omoku town. Hence, he ran to Port Harcourt and goes around with heavy Mobile Police men guarding him. And he scarcely sits around his two offices as Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party Rivers State Chapter of Rivers state as well as Sole Administrator.
