Rivers: PDP Clinches The Three Senatorial Seats

***Rivers Deputy Governor, Dr. Banigo wins Rivers South West Senatorial seat

Rivers State deputy governor, Dr. Ipalibo Harry-Banigo, of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has been declared the Rivers West senatorial district, Senator-Elect in election held on Saturday.

Harry-Banigo defeated the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and former chairman of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), Hon. Asita Honourable Asita to emerge victorious.

Before now, Hon. Allwell Onyesoh, PDP, had won the Rivers East Senatorial District, while Senator Barry Mpigi, also of PDP retained his seat as Senator representing Rivers South East Senatorial District.
