Rivers CP Disu Assures More protection

 

The Rivers state Commissioner of Police CP Olatunji Disu has Reassured Rivers residents of adequate protection on the looming political challenges rocking the state

The CP while briefing Journalists at the state headquarters,said his men are on ground to counter any forces against unforseen circumstances,stressing that the command is aware of the crisis – on the tenure of LGA chairmen in the state.

The CP equally informed that ” we have gotten one court order and the other and the court of Appeal has asked everyone to exercise restrain till 20th of this month which he said is ” just about 3 days ahead”.while calling on members of the public and parents to respect the law and allow peace to continue in the state.

Asked on the level of preparedness, the CP Disu responded thus: ” our officers are their to counter any unforeseen forces even as he lauded the efforts of his men.

” We are not taking it lightly.we are ready to go and our officers are there.this just to reassured the public.” He said.
