Rivers APC crisis deepens as thugs destroys parallel Secretariat

The crisis between the two factions of Rivers state APC took a dangerous trend on Saturday as heavily armed thugs backed by policemen damaged the secretariat of a state faction near waterlines, Aba Road in Port Harcourt.

 

The thugs and policemen allegedly led by members of the faction loyal to Factional Chairman, Ojukaye Flag Amachree arrived the secretariat by 9am on Saturday with guns, cutlasses and axes.

They shot sporadically into the air, scaring away workers at the waterlines  State Secretariat of the second faction of the APC loyal to senator Magnus Abe.

 

However, Towncrier.ng observed that the secretariat of the faction loyal to Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Amaechi has soldiers and SARs Personnel on guard. This factional secretariat is near Garrison roundabout in Port Harcourt.

The main secretariat in Old GRA was abandoned after the two factions clashed because the Minister of Transportation diverted materials meant for ward congresses in Rivers State.
