Rivers 2023: Ojukaye Flag Amachree Takes a Big Step

The race for number one seat in Rivers State will soon take a new dimension as one of the Rivers States son and trusted Kalabari political leader.

Ojukaiye Flag Amachree, is preparing to throw his hat into the ring for the service of his people come 2023 governorship election. Although he has not announced his aspiration, but his body language since 2019 when he was the caretaker chairman of All progressive Congress(APC) Rivers State chapter and his total withdrawal from public space has shown that he has something up his sleeves to offer his good people of Rivers State.

Irrespective of the crises rocking his APC, he is such a handworking politician, who while he was elected chairman of Asari Toru Local Government Area justified his political mandate by rendering quality service to his people with verifiable projects that stunned the then Governor Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi.
He electrified rural communities and offered scholarship to indigent students in tertiary institutions. Ojukaye is one man, who is fearless with great grassroot support across Rivers State. Thus, during his days as chairman of APC in River State, he mobilized party members and closely watched the Governorship position through political engineering that saw a midnight switchover to another political party as a vehicle to avert the legal infraction instituted by senator Magnus Abe – led supporters against that led by Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi as leader of the party in the state. Ojukaye Flag Amachree hails from Rivers west senatorial district and his political leadership under Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi has the preponderance of looking towards zoning the governorship seat to Riverine communities. He was brought up in the inner Port Harcourt, Diobu area, known for street wisdom for his dwellers and Ojukaye Flag Amachree acquired a lot of such street wisdom and bravados of a grassroot politician.
