The stage is now set on Saturday 25th of August, 2018 as the arena ground of Federal Technical College Omoku IN Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area in Rivers state is agog with fanfare as the only remaining PDP senator from Rivers state Osinakacukwu Ideozu as finally defected to All Progressives Congress-APC. The first class graduate of Estate Management from Rivers state University of Science and Technology Nkpolu-Orowukwo Port Harcourt now Rivers State University and a holder of 3 Masters Degree in Financial Management is now a fully fledged member of APC in Rivers state. He has been a member of Rivers State House of Assembly representing Ahoada state Constituency 2 and Ahoada East –Abua/Odual Federal House of Representatives before e was elected in 2015 for Rivers West Senatorial seat all under the Platform of People Democratic Party-PDP. Later on October 2007 e was appointed by Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi as commissioner for Finance before e was removed in a Cabinet reshuffling announcement.
Today, his defection will be a big blow for the incumbent governor Nyesom Wike whose quest to remain in office in 2019 as divided Rivers state thereby polarizing it along 14 ethnic groups Senator Osinakacukwu Ideozu was neglected by Governor Wike in the sharing of elective political offices especially in the last Local Government election held in the month of May, 2018.
The PEOPLE OF Orashi mega cultural group in Rivers state had used the occasion to receive the Honourable Minister OF Transportation Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi in a civic ceremony held at the same venue Federal Government Technical COLLEGE OF Education Omoku which has BROUGHT together the good people of Orashi were the incumbent Chairman of PDP Brother Felix Obuah hails from.
