NDDC Saga! Governor Wike rescues Joi Nunieh from “House Arrest” to Government House

Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, in early hours of this morning led a retinue of government house security details “stormed” the house of Joi Nunieh, former Acting Managing Director of Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, located directly opposite Holy Rosary Secondary School, Old GRA Port Harcourt rescued her.

Governor  Wike, lived up to his administration’s earlier warning that his administration will never allow any harm befall Joi Nunieh, a prominent daughter of Ogoni, Rivers State by leading security men from Government House to “rescue” her from “house arrest”.

Unconfirmed reports have it that late last night, a team of Police surrounded her residence in Port Harcourt as early as 4 am putting into what looks like house arrest.

Governor Wike was alerted and he personally stormed the house and took her away to government house in his Official vehicle.

For more than a week, Nunieh and Senator Godswill Akpabio has been having a running Media battle over allegations bordering on corruption, alleged sexual harassment etc.

At the time of filing this report, there has not been any official statement from the mission of Governor Wike to Nunieh’s house.

However, in several video clips that have gone viral, Governor Wike’s convoy  was seen driving into Nunieh’s house and moving out with her in his convoy.
