Ahead of 2023, a well experienced Rivers politician and astute businessman, Hon. Mina Clever Tende, have said that he is determined to give the state the best of governance if given the opportunity to rule.
Speaking shortly on his arrival from Abuja, with this publication, Hon.Tende, said he was confident that every division that had rocked his party in the past is now resolved following consultations most especially the recent court ruling that have settled every party wrangling, stressing that the prospect for him becoming the governor of Rivers State is so clear and clean, because according to him ‘ I have no stain in me’
Against the backdrop of incumbency factor, the governorship hopeful, responded that the issue of incumbency doesn’t hold water because successive governors have tried in the past to install their preferred ones but Said such moves have not really worked out because of the will of the people.
The former local government chairman, however insisted, that what counts in the state is about the decisions and choices made by the people, adding that as a front line politician, he is determined to make a difference in his aspiration to govern the state.
On the issue of Riverine agitation for the governorship of the state; the renowned responded thus: ” it is Because the Riverine people had been marginalized hence the agitation, adding that what is clear about the issue and for the interest of peace is for the riverine people to be given the opportunity to rule so as to put a stop to the marginalised issue complaint.
Meanwhile, The National Forerunner has now learnt that the poster of Hon.Mina Clever Tende, is now causing panic in ‘ Brick House’ as a result of his recent declaration to take over come 2023.
Hon. Mina is a stalwart of the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC, and he is one of the serious minded candidates to beat come 2023.
