According to the information peddled, the governor is said not to be happy with the ways Lagosians ms-used the one week opportunity by floating the rules and regulations guiding the spread and prevention of the corona virus disease. Our reporters gathered through a street vox that the people of Lagos are eagerly awaiting the final decision of the governor and some of them expressed their fears that things might get out of hand should the governor goes ahead with the tough decision. Many are of the view that for the one week given to Nigerians to attend to their commercial activities with few restrictions, things got better financially for quite a number of households. They however expressed that the governor should be considerable enough to ignore such decisions and keep informing the general populace of the state to adhere to the guiding rules of Covid ’19.
Moreover, some other segments of the Lagos society opined that it was true that the people got too carried away with the seemingly release from a hunger enclave and drastically forgot the existence of anti-Covid rules like self distancing, regular washing of hands, application of sterilizers etc as the only law adhered to be many was the use of face masks. Crowds with close affinity, ignoring self distancing were reportedly sifted at majority of banks premises in the state.
