BRO Felix Obuah, the Sole Administrator of Rivers State Waste Management Agency, on Wednesdaywhile commissioning the icivic centre in isiokpo built by the Chairman of Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State, Hon Engr Samuel Nwanosike (JP), said”I will tell His Excellency that I was hearing that Ishi is performing, that I am not only hearing, I have come, I have saw, Ishi has performed.
He said, “You will be remembered not by the crowd that did not come and attend occasion here today. You will be remembered not by the people who envy your rising profile. You will remembered by this project you are putting here today. You will be remembered by all the projects listed here today you are performing. By the time you leave as Council Chairman, nobody will remember the great occasion such people were there, such people were not there, you will be remembered this edifice”.
The Rivers State Waste Management Agency’s Sole Administrator promised of telling Gov Nyesom Wike of the great achievements of Hon Nwanosike and the things he witnessed at Isiokpo while commissioning the town hall project.
“I will tell His Excellency that Ishi is truly the father’s son. Like father, like son”, He said.
The civic centre commissioning was one of the activities lined up to celebrate Hon Nwanosike’s 100 days second tenure in office.
In his address , the Executive Chairman of Ikwerre Local Government Area, Hon Engr Samuel Nwanosike (JP), said that the rebuilding of the town hall was in fulfilment of his electioneering campaign promise to the people of Ward 2, Isiokpo. Saying that it is only PDP members who do not give excuse in delivering dividends of democracy to their people.
According to him, “I want to say, sir, that it is very important that everybody knows that we in the Peoples Democratic Party we don’t make excuses. When we are given a job to do, we do the job as we have been directed to do completely for the betterment of the people that have given us that job.
“We came to the people of Ikwerre Local Government with a five-point agenda. In 2018, we went round all the 14 Communities and 13 political wards. They heard our agenda, they gave us their votes and since then they have been praying for us. They have been supporting us with their farm implements and everything they can gather to make sure we deliver the dividends of democracy to the people of Ikwerre Local Government”
Hon Nwanosike thanked God Almighty for the opportunity given to him to work for his people.
“We thank God for the opportunity given to us to run Jesus economy, that God has given us the opportunity to work for our people and our people appreciate it.
“People of Ikwerre Local Government told us as young men, if you people do your part, go home and sleep, we will do our parts at the polling units”.
Hon. Nwanosike expressed joy that the National Assembly has given Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) the go ahead order to transmit results from the polling units. Saying that those who come to Ikwerre LGA by twelve midnight to write results have been put to shame.
