Gunmen shots Atiku’s Director for Youths Mobilization in Rivers

*Rhino Owhorkire was abducted fews weeks in viral video forcing him to denounce support for Atiku/Okowa

Gunmen suspected to be political thugs have shot the Director for Youths Mobilization of the Atiku Abubakar/Ifeanyi Okowa Presidential Campaign team in Rivers State, Rhino Owhorkire.

Owhorkire is presently lying critically ill in pains in an undisclosed hospital in Port Harcourt.

According to reports the incident occurred on Wednesday night in Aluu, Ikwerre Local Government Area of the State when Owhorkire was driving  home.

Narrating the incident on Thursday morning, a source said the assailants shot at Owhorkire’s vehicle tyres before shooting in his direction through the windscreen.

“As I speak with you, he is in serious pain. His mouth is shattered. But he is receiving treatment in the hospital,” the source said.

The young mobilizer for the Rivers Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) is in agony and is being treated at an unidentified hospital right now.

“He is in excruciating pain while I chat with you. His speech is disorganized. However, the source stated that he was being treated in the hospital.

This newspaper saw a video going viral of Owhorkire with blood gushing from his cut mouth.

“I am perishing. They just shot me. He claimed in the six-second tape, “I’m dying; they shot me”.

Owhorkire, is a former Student Union President of the University of Port Harcourt hails from Omuoko Aluu in Ikwerre Local Government Area.

Few weeks ago there was an online video showing where he was  kidnapped and forced to denounce his support for Atiku Abubakar. 

At time of filing this report, the Police is yet to react to the issue.
