GOVERNOR WIKE REPLIES THE PUNCH NEWSPAPER

BY KEHINDE PHILIPS

The much talked about editorial surreptitiously done by one of the flagship publishing companies in Nigeria got a quick reply when Governor Wike made a direct statement saying  “When I was told that Dr. D.k Olukoya Will be coming to Rivers State, I say anything that must happen for me not to be there must be suspended. There are men of God and there are men of God. I am proud to be here today.”

Without apologies to anybody, Rivers State is a Christian State. If you want to kill me, it is okay. If I die I die for Christ. I am not afraid of anybody… Because, I am standing on the solid foundation. Some of you don’t know, if you know, every minutes you will be thanking God. When we were coming, I told Sgt Awuse, this is not where I came before now, when this place was like warehouse. Anybody can go and write anything, anything you write ‘Ntoorr’. For what God through this man of God has done for me, I am ready to go to jail. I have never talked to you this way”.
