Gov. Abdulraham Abdulrazaq Present Medals and Certificate at the fourth national boxing carnival

Kwara State Government continued its quest to develop sport from the grassroots when the Kwara State Boxing Association organised its 4th National Boxing competition on Monday, 11th July 2022. A total number of 7 states participated with a total number of 32 amateur boxers (males & female).

In demonstration of the Kwara state love for grooming and growing talents, the Executive Governor HE AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq graced the occasion in person. Other VIPs who graced the occasion were the Chairman, Kwara State Boxing Chairman, Barr. Ahmed Rufai, the Chairman Kwara State Sports Commission Mallam Bola Mogaji, the Director of Sports in the Commission Mr. Sola among others. While Hon. Ladi Balogun sent in his representative Mr. Adebayo Abdullahi to grace the occasion.

In his remarks the Governor of Kwara State HE AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq pledged his continuous support for youths development especially through sports. He earnestly urged the young boxers to take their chosen sport very seriously and to continue to train so as to attain a great hight.

The Governor supported the boxing association with a cash donation of N500, 000 and promised to deliver a brand new boxing ring to it.
