Gombe Governor commisserates with Adamawa counterpart over mother’s death

Gombe state Governor, Alhaji Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has commiserated with his Adamawa state counterpart, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri over the demise of his mother Hajiya Fatima Umaru Badami who died yesterday in Yola.

In a condolence message, Governor Inuwa Yahaya described the death of Hajiya Fatima as a great loss not only to her immediate family but to entire Adamawa state and Nigeria.

He said the late Hajiya Fatima was an upright woman and family pillar, who lived a fruitful life and impacted positively on the lives of her children and community.

He said although Hajiya Fatima died at a time her elderly and motherly counsel and wisdom were needed by her children, especially Governor Fintiri, “We must take solace in the fact that she left behind a lasting legacy through her children and exemplary life which will continue to be cherished.”

Governor Yahaya extended his heartfelt condolences to Governor Fintiri and members of his family as well as the Government and people of Adamawa state over the great loss, praying Almighty Allah to grant the deceased Aljannat Firdaus.
