Fubara orders arrest of Construction Engineer of collapsed building

*Probe into cause of the collapse.

Rivers State has ordered for the immediate arrest of Construction Engineer of the collapsed 2-storey building at Rumuoke Street, off Okilton junction, by Ada George Road, Port Harcourt.
The government also ordered Immediate closure of the construction site, and search and evacuation of the debris to ensure that nobody is in fact trapped underneath as the Builder claims.
The directives of government were contained in the announcement signed by Dr. Tammy Wenike Danagogo, the Secretary to State Government, SSG.
Government also ordered for an urgent constitution of an Investigative Panel to look into the immediate and remote causes of the collapse, as well as bring everyone culpable to book,
Professionals in the Building Sector in the state were warned henceforth to comply strictly with all necessary regulations as the Rivers State Government will not condone any deviation from extant laws and regulations in the sector.
Members of the public are urged to report to the authorities, activities of suspected unauthorized builders across the State.
