Finebone, Spokesman of APC, Rivers formally tenders resignation letter

Daniel Efe/Port Harcourt

All Progressives Congress, APC, Rivers State Publicity Secretary, Chris Finebone, has finally tendered his letter of resignation after filtered in on Friday, August 12.

He says he will not give reasons to anyone for leaving the APC to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, because he did not give anyone reasons for joining the party.

Finebone who was seen in a viral photo with Governor Nyesom Wike, the Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Siminalayi Fubara and Dr. Davies Ikanya, the former Chairman of APC who defected PDP last year had posted: ” This is what it is. Life is full of surprises”.

The former Spokesman of APC was one of important dignitaries  who graced the Commissioning of Rivers State Assembly Quarters by the Speaker of House of Representatives, Hon. Femi Gbagabiamila.

In terse resignation letter dated August 12 , 2022 was addressed to the Chairman Ward 6, APC, Opobo-Nkoro local government area, attention Senibo Raymond Finebone.

He refused to give reasons for dumping the party. “I am not one to go public with the reasons for my resigning from APC, just as I did not give anyone reasons for joining the party. However, all I can say is encapsulated in the words of a 17th century poet and dramatist, John Dryden.

“Must I at length the Sword of Justice draw? Oh curst  Effects of necessary law! How all my fear they by my, Mercy Scam, Beware the fury of patient man”.

APC through Assistant Publicity Secretary, Darlington Nwauju, had stated yesterday that the party got the hint of Finebone leaving the party about two months ago, because of the moral burden of  leading an onslaught against Fubara his kinsman and PDP, was yet to formally resign.

Finebone has no doubt left another big hole in Political structure of APC.

Less than two days before he left, APC, (as always), he took Wike to the cleaners when APC, through him, slammed the Governor for dancing “Kokomo” in viral video at the time scores of children were dying of an outbreak of Measles in Communities in Abua-Odua local government area of the State.
