The #Endsars demonstration slated for Tuesday, October 13 to protest against SARS and police brutality in Port Harcourt will still go on as scheduled, organisers have confirmed.
One of the organisers, KO Baba Jornsen who spoke in a live radio program monitored by www.towncrier. ng on radio this Monday said the protest is still taking place.
He said their demands are for the end to police brutality and justice for the victims.
KO Baba also said SARS started to degenerate when its operatives allegedly lost focus and became more interested in making money more than facing criminals and robbers.
He said, “Our protest is taking place. Our demands are simple, end police brutality, justice for the victims.
“Trying to give SARS all the credit, I disagree because at some point they lost focus. Their interest was in making money much more than facing their jobs, facing the criminals and robbers”.
The meeting point for tomorrow’s protest in Port Harcourt is the Pleasure Park along Aba road by 9am. Some notable entertainers from the state have indicated interest to participate.
