A councillorship aspirant contesting the June 16th Local Government elections in Rivers State on the platform of the Advanced Peoples Democratic Alliance, Ms. Kpegebor Happy Eeyie, has stated categorically that godfatherism poisons credibility in politics. Speaking with www.towncrier.ng while doing her door-to-door campaign in Ward 4, in Baranyowa Dere, Gokana Local Government Area of Rivers State, the graduate of Theatre Arts, described godfatherism as the unwholesome arithmetic that has crippled the brand of politics she represents.
She noted that a level playing field for credible candidates vying for elective offices will not only generate the needed results but will also engender the needed sanity that will portray politics and politicians in good light. Ms. Kpegebor observed that noise-making anchored in smear campaigns, no matter how subtle, is immaturity and as such should be eschewed.
The former member of the Peoples Democratic Party stated starkly that her mission is to deliver on the dividends of her office, if elected, and make the people have a genuine sense of belonging at all times.

He has his eyes and ears on the ground looking for political gains and he goes out for those who matters in the opposition political parties like he did at Etche Local Government Area where he was told about the negligence of Elder Musa Elekwa the All Progressive Congress Chairman and Governor Wike did not waste time in giving him succor and relief to paying school fees worth Nineteen Thousand United states of America (USD$19,000.00) that is Six Million Eight Hundred and Forty Thousand naira (N6,840, 000.00 )for his First Class son studying abroad. He did not stop there Elder Musa Elekwa was provided with Ten Millions naira cash for his upkeep right there at Government House where he was chauffeur driven to his private home with satisfaction and in suspense whether he should remain in APC where the Leader and stakeholders do not care for the welfare of the grass root co-coordinators. This is the reason he, Elder Musa Elekwa defected to Peoples Democratic Party-PDP without much funfair and without being coerced.”
This is the trend now being adopted by Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike seeing that hunger and deprivation which his opponents have used to control their political supporters is now turning to be a blessing in disguise for his 2019 Governorship re-election for 2nd term. Towncrier.ng further went to gather more information on the strategic plans of governor Wike who has been crying against the opposition trying to rig 2019 election in Rivers state. Here another volunteer Inema Jackrice opined that “See what will happen in Tai Local Government Area where a serving member of House of Representatives will surely make a move that will surprise you. Do you know that this man is a staunch member of All Progressive Congress-APC and a former chairman of Tai Local Government Council now we gathered from the grapevine that he Chief Barry Mpigi was given the sum of One Hundred Million naira (N150, 000 000.00) cash which some Peoples Democratic party Rivers state chieftains dragged the money-bags to his private home in Port Harcourt. This was done without placed any condition for him including defection but trust the Tai born Rivers state politician who has been looking for an opportunity to aspire for the seat of Rivers South East senatorial District and now he will move to PDP come this 2018 ahead of 2019 General elections since the incumbent Senator Magnus Ngei Abe is being rumoured to aspire for Rivers state Governorship seat. So, you can see why Chief Barry Mpigi is a good catch for Rivers state Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike as he will catch important opposition politicians and entice them with millions of cash money and come 2019 he will have easy ride back to “BRICK HOUSE” Rivers state seat of political power.”
That is not all if you watch political trend in Rivers state politics now governor Wike is adopting ex Governor Peter Odili’s style of opening the iron gate of Government House Port Harcourt for endorsement by various Socio-Cultural groups and communities across the state and amongst Non indigenes residing in rivers state be it Hausa/Fulani, Igbo Community, Yoruba Community even some religious groups have come to adopt and endorse him for a second term in office. And he is waiting to organize a specific date for his acceptance to run for a second term in office.
Governor Wike is attending private ceremonies of opposition members be it Birthday ceremonies or Child dedication of APC members families he shows up and felicitate with them describing them as his old friends when some of them were in PDP with him as some of them served in the Government of Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi administration from 2007 -to-2015 and there must have been some secret deals that unite them together which no-one will divulge at all.
