EDOITES BASED IN LAGOS CONDEMNS OSHIOMOLE, CALLS HIM ANOTHER OBJ

By Kazeem Bisiriyu & Bunmi Orija

Indigenes of Edo State residing in Lagos has condemned the activities of former state governor and national chairman of the APC, Comrade Adams Oshiomole in the primaries of the party towards the forthcoming gubernatorial election in the state. They believed that the ex governor who is supposed to play a fatherly role between the incumbent governor Godwin Obaseki and Pastor Ize Iyamu has gone wrong by acting as a catalyst to the tension.

According to those spoken to by towncrier.ng, they affirmed that Oshiomole has turned himself into ex president Olusegun Obasanjo who castigated his former deputy, Atiku Abubakar, calling him several unprintable names only to turn back and embraced his candidacy against President Muhammad Buhari at the 2019 election. They accused Oshiomole of bastardizing the image of Iyamu labelling him a thief and now gives him his powerful support against the incumbent governor.

However, another angle to the news according to our research affirmed that contrary to the belief of many that Oshiomole made Obaseki politically, the case is vice versa as they said that Obaseki was the one who insisted on Oshiomole’s name years back before he contested and won the governorship election in the state. However, the forthcoming gubernatorial polls in the state would decide who is more powerful between the governor, Obaseki and Oshiomole as the battle ground has been we. We also scooped that the opposition PDP is waiting on the wings to grab the opportunity of fielding the governor if he eventually loses the APC ticket to Iyamu.
