Former Governor Timipre Sylva of Bayelsa State and leader of All Progressives Congress, APC, in the State and the Minister of State for Petroleum led Federal Government delegation to Government House to invite Governor Duoye Diri to lay foundation stone “COVID- 19 medical infrastructure for the South-South in the capital.
The maiden visit of Sylva to Creek Haven since the nullification by the Supreme Court the mandate of APC candidate, David Lyon, from being sworn in as Governor of the state less than 24 hours to his inauguration is see by political observers politics without bitterness.
Governor Duoye Diri assisted by Sylva and Group Managing Director if the Nigeria National Petroleum Company, NNPC, Mele Kyari laid a foundation for the Nigerian Agip oil company limited, NNPC, Joint Venture partners and the Covid-19 medical infrastructure for the South-South in Yenagoa.
It is also seen as a desired synergy between the Federal and State government to foster cooperation to deal with the common challenges posed by the dangerous COVID- 19 pandemic.
Governor Diri said he would leverage on the new opportunity presented by the visit of the federal government delegation under the COVID-19 Presidential Task force for the development of Bayelsa State.
At the Ground Breaking Ceremony of the Oil & Gas industry “COVID- 19 medical infrastructure for the South-South in Yenagoa, Bayelsa state.
Facility to provide the general medical services to the public, Disease control Center, In-situ Diagnostic Laboratory, a 150-200 capacity bed spaces scalable on both flanks & behind.
The project is sited on 1,586 square metre and has a total land area of 8,960 square metre for car park and future scalability in Yenagoa, Bayelsa state.
The ground breaking ceremony was witnessed by top government officials both in the Federal and State levels Stakeholders in the oil and Gas industry.
