According to a Port Harcourt based blogger, East-West reports,” The Police made the arrest around the Mile 3/Diobu areas of Port Harcourt in company of the Rivers State Task Force on COVID-19 enforcing the market closure and lockdown in the area.

The goats were arrested when their owners took to flight on sighting the Police and Task Force team advancing to arrest them for violating lockdown order and market closure directive.

Eyewitnesses told East-West Reports that the Police took the goats into their vehicle and drove away to an unknown destination suspected to be the popular Mile 1 Police Station, where the Eagle Crack Squad office is located but which could not be independently verified as at the time of this report.

Quoting an Eyewitness, Fyneface Dumnamene, who monitored the incident of the arrest said: ‘’We will keep monitoring and following up the development to see how the goats would write their statements on why they violated the lock down order announced by the State Governor, Nyesom Wike two weeks ago to forestall the spread of Coronavirus disease.

The State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Nnamdi Omoni, could not verify where the goats have been taken and as such could not confirm the incident as at the time of filling this report.
