Buildings distorting the master plan of Abuja will go down: Wike blows hot

 

Nyesom Wike, the new Minister of Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, has vowed that buildings that are distorting the master plan of Abuja will go down.

Wike made the statement while speaking with journalists as he assumes office immediately after taking oath of office.

Those people who are distorting the master plan of Abuja, too bad. Refuse everywhere. If you know you’ve built where you are not suppose to build, it will go down. Be a minister of anywhere, be an ambassador. If you knwo you have develop where you are not suppose to develop, your house must go down,” Wike stated

Wike also warned people involved in land racketeering

He said: “Let me tell you, that period of land racketing is over.”

Wike also warned land speculators. He claimed that some persons have collected Certificate of Ownership for years but refused to build.

According to Wike, “Sorry, your land is gone.”

Wike had earlier assured President Bola Tinubu that he would not regret tapping him for a ministerial role.
