Bayo onanuga to Obi: I am not Afraid of Any legal Action, we shall meet in court

Mr. Bayo Onanuga, the Special Advisor on Communication and Strategy to President Bola Tinubu , has responded via social media platform X to the demands and 72-hour ultimatum made by Peter Obi , the presidential candidate of the Labour Party for the 2023 elections. Onanuga has stated that he is prepared to take legal action.

He said, “I am still waiting for the letter from Peter Obi’s lawyer threatening a N5 billion suit and demanding an apology to Peter Obi over the planned ‘revolution’.

“Let me just tell Obi and his lawyer : I am not afraid of any legal action. We shall meet in court.”

According to the Punch, This comes after Obi’s legal team issued an ultimatum to Onanuga, demanding that he retract his alleged defamatory statement, issue a public apology, and pay N5 billion in damages. Obi’s attorney, Chief Alex Ejesieme, SAN, contended that Onanuga’s claim that Obi is connected to a planned mass protest is untrue and has tarnished his reputation.
