A driver of Outside Broadcasting Van (OB Van) attached to Radio Bayelsa, Simon Onu, and two others have been shot dead during a clash between thugs of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bayelsa State.

It was gathered that the driver, Onu was reportedly hit by one of the stray bullets at the local government area following sustained gunshots by the thugs.

Many others were said to have sustained injuries while others ran to a close-by bush trying to escape from the violent scene.

The Bayelsa state police command was yet to release any official statement on the matter.

Bloody clash between suspected political thugs belonging the two major political parties of APC and PDP in Nembe, in Bayelsa state on Wednesday, November 13.

Meanwhile, Governor of Bayelsa State, Henry Seriake Dickson, the Governorship Candidate of the PDP, Senator Douye Diri, the PDP Zonal Chairman, South South, Chief Emmanuel Ogidi, on Wednesday night, visited the victims of the brutal attack by suspected Political thugs taking treatments at the Bayelsa Medical Centre, the Bayelsa Specialist Hospital and the Federal Medical Centre, all in Yenagoa.
