Bayelsa Governor, Diri Swears In Justice Ayemieye As Acting Chief Judge

… charges her to maintain harmonious relationship with other arms of government 

Senator Douye Diri, Governor of Bayelsa State today swore in Justice Matilda Abrakasa Ayemieye, as acting Chief Judge of the State.

This followed the retirement of the former Chief Judge of the State, Justice Kate Abiri,who was on saddle as Chief for about 15 years.

In his charge, Governor Diri urged Justice Ayemieye to maintain the harmonious relationship with both the Executive and the Legislative arms.

“And so, I charge you to maintain the harmonious relationship that this Government has enjoyed with the Judiciary and Legislative arms of Government.

“I wish you well and I believe that as an administrator you will be astute in ensuring that you carry along all of your colleagues without discrimination”, Governor Diri stated.
