ASITA CONGRATULATES UCHENDU, GIADOM, OTHERS ON APPOINTMENT

The Chairman Governing Board of Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), Rt. Hon. Asita Honourable felicitates with Senator (Ohna) Andrew Uchendu and Chief Victor Giadom on their appointments as Chairman Governing Council of University of Port Harcourt and Member Governing Council of Maritime University Okerenkoko, Delta State, respectively, by President Muhammadu Buhari.

Hon. Asita described the appointments as highly merited and well-deserved by both illustrious sons of Rivers State.

He expressed confidence that the appointment of Senator Uchendu, who represented Rivers East Senatorial District in the 8th National Assembly and Chief Giadom, who served as the immediate past Acting National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) will enrich the Governing Council of both Universities, noting that their wealth of experience will be invaluable in repositioning the institutions of higher learning for greater excellence.

In the same vein, the Orashi Political Leader congratulates Barr. Isaac Abbot Ogbobula who was appointed Chairman Governing Council of Federal Polytechnic Bauchi; Dr. Lawrence Chuku, Member Governing Council, Waziri Umar Federal Polytechnic Birnin Kebbi; Barr. Kingsley Wali, Member Governing Council Auchi Polytechnic, Edo State; Dr. Lebatam Ndegwe, Member Governing Council Kaduna Polytechnic; Barr. Reginald Ukwuoma, Member Governing Council Federal College of Education, Kano and Mrs. Dabota Jumbo, Member Governing Council Federal College of Education Yola, Adamawa State.

The former Member of the House of Representatives thanked President Buhari for finding them worthy of service, adding that their appointment was scrupulous. He urged the appointees to see their new appointment as a higher call to national service and opportunity to further impact society.
