It is a fact that Oshiomhole’s popularity in Edo will not be ending anytime soon as he keeps soaring like an Eagle at every corner he finds himself.
This was the case today in Owan East during his ongoing ward to ward tour in the local government area. The former governor, as usual in his colourful buga steps, was visibly seen commanding the mammoth crowd in each of the wards he stepped into.
Oshiomhole and the Edo North campaign trail first visited Ward 6, ward 9 and then ward 7. In each of these wards he compared the major presidential candidates by their antecedents and advised the people to ask anyone seeking their votes to come forward with what they have done in the past.
He said, ” it is one thing to promise and it is another thing to fulfil promises made, each of these contestants have promised Nigerians heaven and earth, this is why i want you the electorates to ask them for what they have done in the past, because a goat cannot give birth to a lion, so let’s access them from their performance, one of them is from Anambra state and we all listened to gov Soludo accusing him of poor performance, even former gov Obiano has also said same, Peter Obi who was unable to transform Onitsha like Tinubu did in Lagos, in terms of antecedents Peter Obi obviously lacks the worthiness to ask Nigerians to give him their votes likewise Atiku Abubakar who does not have any project to his name.
Tinubu performed and laid a formidable foundation to enhance development in Lagos state and today the wonders of his progressive foundation can be seen by the blind and heard by the deaf
I want to promise you that if he is voted in as president he will do more and this will give me a better chance of surpassing the work I did as governor if also elected to represent Edo North in the Senate.
Oshiomhole also urged the people to re-elect Professor Juius Ihonvbere to the House of Representatives and Barr. Eric Okaka into the Edo state house of assembly.
