Kashim Shettima Support Organization, declares support for the choice of former Borno State governor, Senator Kashim Ibrahim Shettima, as the Vice-Presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2023 election.
In a communique co-signed & issued at the end of its press release today in Minna, by the North Central coordinators of the Organization which draws from Plateau, Kogi, Kwara, Nasarawa, Benue, Niger State and Federal Capital Territory (ABUJA) which was read by the Chairman of the organization, Comr. Abdulrahman, the group said Senator Shettima remains a loyal party man and possessed the right quality and experience for the political office.
The coalition, under the aegis of Kashim Shettima Support Organization (KSSO), which passed a vote of confidence on the former Borno state governor for the excellent and exceptional performance of his administration in the Borno-insurgency ridden state, noted that he had contributed immensely to the politics and policies of the country.
The organisation also slammed individuals who are revolting against the nomination of the Sen. Shettima as the presidential running mate of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the APC.
Sen. Shettima is eminently qualified to hold the position of the Vice president of the Federal republic of Nigeria, if our great Party, the APC so deemed it fit. Therefore we are solidly behind the former governor in his political quest.
We, hereby, admonish our fellow Nigerians to desist from any manner of calumnious campaign that will not assist our great country to progress. We wholeheartedly condemn any reckless vituperation against Sen. Kashim Shettima, noting that merit Should be our rallying cry devoid of religious sentiments.
“The former two-term Governor of Borno State entered public service with impeccable credentials, which he has burnished by demonstrating great competence, integrity and courage in all the positions that he has held.
“His background in academics and the private sector prepared him for the achievements that he has recorded in politics as Governor and since his election to the Senate in 2019. We should all give him our support and encourage him because Sen. Shetima is a THINK TANK with different focus from Nigeria traditional politics. We are in no doubt that there is more to benefit from Sen Shetima’s selfless service to our great country Nigeria.
“A loyal and committed member of the APC, Senator Shettima has what it takes to be an excellent running mate to our flag bearer. In Sha Allah and in the Mighty Name of Jesus, the Vice President of Federal Republic of Nigeria will make our great nation proud.
