UDOM EMMANUEL: The Best Thing That Has Happened to Akwa Ibom State

Extravagantly graced for excellence, Gov. Udom Emmanuel is a perfect expression of good governance. His love for God and visionary leadership style has stood him out from other governors of the federation, hence his unparalleled feat in the provision of the dividends of democracy to the people. While other governors are complaining of economic recession, Governor Emmanuel is busy dragging investors to the state, culminating into job creation and development of the state. As a seasoned banker and accountant who rose to the echelon of his career through hard work and devotion, he has brought his experiences to bear in the management of the resources of the state. Communities who had never felt government presence in their entire existence now have reasons to rejoice as Gov. Emmanuel is embarking on a village to village development campaign- the first of its kind of aggressive development strategy.

His industrialization agenda has yielded positive outputs to the state, and the nation in general. His administration has witnessed massive road construction projects, establishment of industries, creation of jobs, even distribution of appointments in the three senatorial districts of the state, inclusion of youths in governance, sports development through monetary motivation of players, building of state of the art sports facility, floating of sport tournaments at inter-schools and inter- local government areas basis, alignment of his policies with the will of God, to mention but a few.

Since his assumption of office, Governor Udom Emmanuel has involved in a number of peacemaking effort in the state. Past leaders who were at loggerheads with one another, seemingly political enemies, past opponents, etc. have closed ranks and come together to work for the overall good of the state. His respect for elders and the traditional stool has brought lasting peace to the state. These are only made possible through the excellent leadership style of Governor Udom Emmanuel.

In the area of education, Governor Udom Emmanuel has not left any stone unturned, as he has facilitated the construction of a number new schools in the state, renovation of dilapidated structures, award of scholarship to students in both secondary and tertiary levels, provision of free books, free and compulsory education policy, prompt payment of workers’ salaries, among others.

Our intelligent governor has also boosted the entertainment and tourism sector of the state in a number ways, not to mention turning of some cities in the state to commercial and tourism hubs. The list is endless. Even the blind can attest to the fact that governor Udom is working.

It is now incumbent on the good people of the state to support his government, and continue to give the governor their mandates in 2019. He has also started new and massive people-oriented projects in the state, hence, he needs your mandates to complete those projects. Already, stakeholders in the state have embarked on campaigns to sensitize the people on the achievements of governor Emmanuel and the need to return him in 2019 for the overall good of the state.

It is often said that one good term deserves another. If at a time when the country was bleeding and bleeding profusely as a result of economic downturn, the governor was able to sail the Akwa Ibom ship through, to the amazement of other state governors and the federal government, how much do you think he will achieve now that the economy is gradually resuscitating? Your guess is as good as mine. Support governor Emmanuel and see the state move in an unusual speed to the land of fulfillment.
