The Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), has advised the general public to stop panic buying as there is available product in stock to meet the needs of Nigerian.
In a statement made available to Towncrier and signed by Garba Deen Muhammad, Group Manger Public Affairs Division, NNPC LTD, said ” the NNPC LTD, wishes to assure the public that the company has sufficient PMS stock to meet the needs of Nigeria’s”
The statement hereby advised the public not to engaged in panic buying of petrol, but to ignore all rumours that may suggest otherwise.
According to the statement, In line with the existing laws of the land, NNPC Ltd is deeply committed to ensuring energy security for the country.
Recalled that the federal government last year has announced the removal of fuel subsidies from petroleums products.
But the Nigerian labour Congress has penultimate week giving conditions ,which the Towncrier has learnt may not be unconnected with the federal government new positions of the removal of fuel subsidies.
