Dr Lloyd disclosed that his local government administration would soon  start a clampdown, confirmed that the illegal oil refining has actually resurfaced in these communities. He said anyone caught will be dealt with in accordance with the law.

Dr Lloyd also called on security agencies and traditional institutions in Ibaa to be conscious of these illegal activities in their domain. He said any building identified for storage of illegal oil products will be seized.

It would be recalled that the Governor Nyesom Wike had declare war against illegal artisanal refining state and promised financial reward to Council Chairmen who show enough evidence of fighting the menace in their areas.
