Meet Ekiti Popular Philanthropist –Akinola Olabisi Oluwafemi -His Untold Story

In life there are self-made individuals who help changing society and humanity Akinola Olabisi Oluwafemi popularly called Bisime is a man to watch in Ekiti state and beyond as he has done much in turning around the fortunes of less privileged people in Ekiti state. 50-years ago his birth might not have been celebrated but with dint of hard work, diligence, courage and loyalty to his friends and business associates Bisime has made himself an institution to be trusted and relied upon.

 

Towncrier.ng here presents Akinola Olabisi Oluwafemi a.k.a ‘Bisime’ or ‘School A’ as the catalyst behind most successful office holders in Ekiti state and outside the state. He is endowed with abundant talents and creative mindset of providing solutions to most challenges faced by mankind. The level of his generosity did not start from when he started making enough money  in later life but at a time he was doing menial jobs in United Kingdom London to be precise saw him working at the McDonalds where he earned six hundred pounds to when he purchased his first car in London from the proceeds he was able to send money home to cater for indigent people most of who are not his direct relatives. This goes a long way of reflecting on his philosophy of seeing humanity as his constituency and all within his sphere of influence as his relatives.

 

 

Being someone who is driven by success Bisime did not fold his arms and wait for hand outs from people instead he rolled his sleeves and studied Building Construction while in London where he came at the age of 24 years without resident address of any godfather. Upon returning to Nigeria he established business concerns in Real Estate and Property Development as he became owner of Atlantic Biscoe Nig. Limited which has many subsidiaries in Construction, Real estate, Auto Dealerships, Information Communications Technology-ICT. With this he has created more jobs for graduates and non graduates alike who are gainfully employed in his companies. As he would tell you that “ I love money but I don’t worship money, I don’t borrow or owe anyone, I live within my means and I take life easy…what I can’t afford I don’t buy”.  Akinola Olabisi Oluwafemi “Bisime” is a man many in Ekiti state have come to understand his cool-headedness irrespective of his lofty position as power broker and philanthropist per excellence.

 

 

His choice of friends is usually divine first is his relationship with Olumide Ojo a friend he met in far away London in 1992. Bisime can also tell you that it was that chanced meeting of Olumide ojo that saw him earning greater experiences in life while that of Governor Ayodele Peter Fayose i2002 could be said to have divine connection being that the spiritual affinity and body chemistry that brought together the present Ekiti state Governor and himself is something that has benefited the common people in Ekiti state given his wealth of experiences in translating his global exposure to modern infrastructural development now striding the nooks and crannies of Ekiti state.

 

Unknown to many of his admirers Bisime in his early growing up years was a good athlete who excelled in sports such as Table tennis, lawn tennis and sprints. Today one of his hobbies is playing Table Tennis and he is using the winning spirit of sports to relate with people from diverse backgrounds with open mind, caring about people’s welfare and being patience in understanding the dynamics of the characters of human beings who he meets with in daily basis as a businessman and statesman in Ekiti state and in Nigeria. Bisime is a well known face within the corridors of political power in Nigeria due to his ability in supporting serious minded investors and some political office holders.

His over 22-years old marital life has blissful as seen in his getting a true soul-mate in his wife Buki who he met in 1995 in London through an acquaintance. The lovable lady Buki who is a trained Pharmacologist and a former staff of   Roche Pharmaceuticals Company in London voluntarily returned to Nigeria with the children in order to nurture them in accordance to Yoruba cultural and traditional settings so that they will acquire mutual respect for elders in the immediate environment and society at large. The 50-years old statesman Bisime remains an enigma in social circuit as he is a quiet man who neither indulges in social excesses but in moderate way he attends functions among which may include his friends’ birthday ceremonies, House opening ceremonies or when his friends are bereaved Bisime do commiserates with them and provide them with needed words as a graduate of Religious Studies he knows deeply the role of Faith and Humanity in existence.
