Valentine blues: Man Dies In Hotel In Port Harcourt Hours After Checking In With A Lady

A man whose identity is yet to be ascertained has died in a hotel at Ada George axis of PortHarcourt early Wednesday morning few hours after checking into the hotel with a single lady.

A guest in the hotel who did not want his name mentioned in an interview with our correspondent said at about 2am ,on Wednesday morning,the lady who checked in with the deceased man.She was scared and later rushed out the hotel room knocking at the door of another while raising alarm that the man he came with has slumped.

According to the guest, the manager of the hotel and security men rushed the man to hospital and also informed the Police.The man was later confirmed dead at the hospital.

Sources at the hotel disclosed that the lady said the deceased man allegedly took drink suspected to be ‘man power’ at a local gin joint on Tuesday night.

As at press time, the manager and the lady have been detained at Rumupakani(Ada George) Police Divisional Police in PortHarcourt for questioning.

Police sources state that the case is expected to be transferred to State Criminal Investigation and and Intelligence Department (SCIID) Port Harcourt for further investigation.

At the time of filing this report the Rivers State Police Command had not reacted to the story.
