The burial arrangement for late Prince Nnamdi Wokekoro was recently put on hold by the Wokekoro family. Towncrier.ng reporter gathered that since December 12th, 2017 when he died at Kesley Harrison’s Hospital no. 11 Emenike Street Mile One Diobu his burial had not been conducted the reason may not be unconnected with the notification by Late prince Nnamdi Wokekoro’s Lawyer who informed his family that he left a written Will in which he authorized how he would be buried anytime he passed on. With this information, the early burial arrangement made by the Wokekoro family was stalled until further notice.
It should be recalled that the late Port Harcourt big Boy-Prince Nnamdi Wokekoro was not known to have lived with any woman as his wife neither did he publicly displayed any child as his child or children known by friends and well-wishers. But the Rivers state Ikwerre born politician was elected Mayor of Port Harcourt from 1999 to 2002 under the Peoples Democratic Party-PDP. And he was appointed as Political Adviser to ex Governor Dr. Peter Odili. During ex Governor Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi’s administration late Prince Nnamdi Wokekoro was appointed as Chairman Rivers state Environmental Sanitation Authority as well as Special Adviser to the Governor on waste Management. He was later redeployed to Local Government Service Commission as Chairman before the incumbent Governor Nyesom Ezebunwo Wike forcefully removed him from office as he went to court seeking redress for Governor truncating his tenure of office which had not elapsed when Governor Wike was elected and sworn in on May 29th, 2015.
The late Prince Nnamdi Wokekoro was a member of All Progressive Congress APC till the day he died as he was said to have addressed APC Youths and subsequently slumped as he was rushed to Kesley Harrison hospital but died the following day at the age of 54 years. He is known to have several landed properties including estates in Port Harcourt the Rivers state capital city.
