He explained that yesterday night the Rivers Police Commissioner called the General Overseer OPM, Apostle Chibuzor Gift Chinyere for assistance because of the free welfare facilities run by the Church and handed over to the four pregnant teenagers and 25 babies.

“Out of the four girls one them immediately went into Labour. We took her to OPM Free Specialist Hospital and She put to bed a baby girl making it 26 babies. She gave birth at about 1 am. All babies are under One year old.”

Meanwhile, the Operators of the Tender-life Orphanage is still in the Police custody awaiting the outcome of Police investigation as to the legitimacy of the operating Licenses obtained by Tender-life Orphanage to operate.

The latest information available to our Correspondent said that the state government has come out to state that there were no records available that Orphanage was registered to operate in the state.

It was learnt that the Commissioner of Social Welfare had visited the Commissioner of Police in Rivers State CP Dandaura Mustapha on the matter and stressed the need for the children to be taken to a better facility since the Police station lacks the facility to take care of the children.

The Spokesperson of Rivers State Police command, DSP Nnamdi Omoni is yet to respond to text messages sent by our reporter to his mobile phone.

However, Barrister Mrs. Eunice Uchendu Lawyer to the alleged Operator of baby factory busted by the E-crack Police has confirmed to us this morning that the children and the pregnant teenagers have been handed over to Omega Power Ministry(OPM) as investigation continues.
Recall that Barrister Eunice Uchendu had insisted at the press briefing that the place is an Orphanage home duly registered with appropriate Government agencies contrary to claims by the Police that it is a baby factory.

Two pregnant female teenager who were rescued from the place in an interview with newsmen maintained that the place is not a baby factory and that they were taken to the orphanage by their families to enable them give birth without shame and insults they received in their respective communities.

Operatives of controversial Eagle Crack Police Unit had stormed the Place on Tuesday evening at about 3:30PM and arrested 3 men and à woman who owns the alleged baby factory.

The men also arrested told Journalists that their company rented the office space down stairs, while the Tender life Orphanage operates upstairs.

They said Police came in a commando style and whisked everybody within the facilities away not even giving them opportunity to explain or call their family members.
