Coronavirus: Personal hygiene, right information is key to preventing Coronavirus–Bayelsa Govt.

Bayelsa State Government has advised residents on protective measures to prevent Coronavirus.

Bayelsa State Government advises residents in the state to ensure personal hygiene and imbibe some protectives measures to prevent Contacting the corona virus otherwise referred to as Covid-19.

The Permanent Secretary Ministry of Health, Dr. Inodu N. Apoku, who gave an update to Journalists on the preparedness of the state to contain the virus in case of outbreak in the state, advised residents to frequently wash their hands with soap, avoid contact with anyone showing symptoms of respiratory illness.

Dr. Apoku also advised health workers to ensure standard infection prevention and make sure that control measures are observed while attending to patients in the various health institutions in the state.

The Permanent Secretary Ministry of health, Dr. Inodu N. Apoku also advised that residents who experience respiratory symptoms such as fever, Cough, and difficulty in breathing and others symptoms should call:08039216821 for sample collection and transfer if you have a case that fits the national case definition.
