We Are Set To Enhanced Creativity, Innovation In Film Making – Kate Ezeigbo

 

The organisers of the second edition of this year Rivers International Film Festival, says it will act additional contents and spice the event with innovations and moral befits based on humanity with the vision to educate and empower the next generation of film makers.

The organization in a Press conference in Port Harcourt by its founder/festival Director Kate Ezeigbo, hinted that in the maiden edition, over five hundred and eighty two (582) films were submitted from one hundred and seventy-two (172) countries around world, including the United States of America and India with the highest submission.

She explained that the milestone achieved shows the possible socio-cultural relationship that exist between Rivers State by existence Nigeria and the rest of the countries.

The RIFF founder, lamented that the scary death amongst film practitioners lead to serious research and it was discovered that the peculiarity of their job been very tidious and time consuming is a factor hence their deepest cautious and emphasizes on medical attention, rest and exercises for practitoners.

According to her ” as part of our social impact to the creative industry,the following initiative was introduced; Riff free medicals, Riff empowerment,tour Rivers initiative etc”

To this end,the group says is targeted point are; to enhanced creativity and innovations in film making, increase collaboration and networking opportunities as well as increase skills and knowledge for film makers, adding that the expected audience are ; industry professionals, Film enthusiasts, students and educators.

Ezeigbo, also used the opportunity to thanked the Rivers Governor Siminalayi Fubara, Sponsors and partners for their strong support for the organization.
