NDDC Talent Hunt turns Sour

…Physical Challenged persons Hail Hostage

Reports reaching us indicate that the talent hunt sponsored by the Niger Delta Development Commission NDDC) took a different tour when thugs, area boys and some gang groups invaded the venue of the show at Abacha link road.

The anchorman for the talent hunt Harry Song and Odense Edadiri could not be reached for comment as at press time as they were said to have abandoned the venue through the help of security men for the safety of their life when gangs groups hunted them for settlement.

Some of the physically challenged persons that were invited to grace the occasion got stranded when the whole arena got tense even when the resource man who was billed to represent the acting chairman of the commission got rounded off by the gangs groups who only through the intervention of the mobile police men rescued the reps.

The disable group who said they were invited all the way from Eleme Local Government area got the bitter side of life when sporadic gun shorts rented the arena.

Some media men that were billed to cover the event also got their fair share of life as they equally scampered to save their lives.

Our eye witness also indicted the police saying many of the participants were pushed when the section got roarly by the uniform security men hired to protect the venue.

The event was billed by the organizer to marked the grand finale hosted at the EIU Event centre at Sani Abacha Road

We learnt that what led to the ugly situation was that some gang men invaded the venue and tried to force the organizers for settlement, while others held onto the SA that represented the acting chairman Bar. Effiong Akwa.

Odense Edadiri, is a former Ijaw Youth Congress president before his appointment into the NDDC as the director of youths.
