‘I experienced poverty for first time when I married my ex-husband,’ — Iyabo Ojo

Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has revealed that she experienced poverty for the first time when she married her ex-husband, Ademidun Ojo.

The mother of two disclosed this in a podcast with media personality Toke Makinwa, where she revealed that she lived in a one-room apartment [face me I slap you] with ex-husband.

Ojo described the experience with her ex-husband as an adventure for her, as she was craving attention, which her ex-husband provided at that time.

She said, “I was born into wealth; we lived in Obanikoro, where there was a stable power supply. I was taken to school every day by my driver and had over N100,000 in my account.

“Initially, living that life with her ex was fun, and because I had lived in wealth, I saw it as an adventure. People shouldn’t blame the rich when they don’t understand the problems of the poor.

“I had no idea ‘face me, I face you’ houses existed until I got married.”
