Rivers Police exhume the decomposed bodies of three undergraduates of UNIPORT kidnap Victims

Arrest Kidnap kingpin, Friday Akpan, who confessed gang-raping of the only female student before hacking her to death

At the early hours of today, May 1 a suspect by name Friday Akpan took the Operatives Anti-kidnapping unit of the Rivers State Police Command to a forest at Eteo in Eleme Local Government Area of Rivers State where they recovered decomposed bodies of three undergraduate Students of University of Port Harcourt who were Victims of kidnap.

Friday Akpan took the Police to Eteo forest to recover the decomposed bodies of three UNIPORT Students.

It was learnt that the three undergraduates who Kidnapped around Choba Campus of the University driven to Eteo forest where they demanded for ransom.
When the ransom was not forthcoming, the late Joy Adoki was gang raped by the Kidnappers also belong to Iceland cult before the were hacked down dead.

The Police identified the recovered corpses as that of Nelson Nwafor, Fortune Obemba and Miss Joy Adoki who were all abducted on April 7 ,2020 at Choba campus.

According to DSP Nnamdi Omoni, the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, “In the course of Investigation, one of the Kidnappers was arrested on April 30,2020, and on interrogation made useful confessions that led to the arrest of two others.

“The remains of the deceased Students have been deposited in the Mortuary.

“Exhibits recovered from them include: One AK47 Rifle
Three Magazines
Seventy two (72) rounds of Ammunition.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Joseph G Mukan has assured the families of the deceased Students that justice will be brought to bear in the circumstance, while appealing to the public to always assist the Police with useful information.”
