Rivers: Nwodi, suspected cult kingpin declared wanted with N1m bounty

A bounty of One million naira has been place on one Onuigwe Nwodi suspected to be cult leader involved in killing of Policemen, kidnapping and Armed robbery along Emohua axis of the East-West road.
Chairman of Emohua local government area, Dr. Chidi Lloyd, besides placing a bounty on him, he also declared Onuigwe Nwodi wanted dead or alive.
It would be recalled there have been rising cases of killings including a Policeman, kidnappings and Armed robberies along Emohua section Of East-West road.
From investigations, Nwodi who is 22 years of age, is a regular detainee at Port Harcourt Correctional Centre. He hails from Elibrada in Emohua Local Government Area and a kingpin of Iceland Cult group and “SS ‘Soldier” who is aspiring to be a “General” in the group.
Meanwhile, few minutes after the Council Chairman declared Nwodi wanted on radio, there was heavy gun battle between Gunmen suspected to be cultists at crude oil Manifolds at Emohua LGA, and Security Forces comprising of NSCDC, Army.
At the time of filing this report the suspected cultists launched serious attack on the manifold and the attack was ongoing.
It was not clear if the alleged attack on the crude oil manifold was connected to declaration of the cultist Nwodi wanted by the Council Chairman or a fight for territorial controls of bunkering sites.
