*N2million bounty pledged by Emohua LGA boss redeemed
*Linked to the abduction of 13 NYSC members

Nwodi Onuigwe, the Rivers State most wanted notorious Kidnapper and Leader of Iceland Cult group that had N2 million bounty on him has been
short dead.
He was killed along with his Second in Command and two others during a gun battle with Police early morning of Tuesday, June 12.
The news of his death has elicited jubilation in many communities where the late Nwodi Amadi Onuigwe had unleashing reign of terror.
Briefing Journalists, the Commissioner of Police in the state CP Nwonyi Polycarp Emeka said on June 13, 2023 based on credible intelligence spotted a kidnap gang led by Nwodi Onuigwe in Ogoloma, Okirika Local Government Area.
CP Emeka stated that on sighting the operatives, the hoodlums open fire leading to gun duel.
According to the Rivers Police boss, the late Onuigwe had been on watch list of the Police due to his deadly Criminal activities including killing of Policemen, Innocent persons and kidnappings.
Also, due to his constant attacks by his gang, some residents of Elibrada(his community) and environs have deserted their homes.
The Rivers Police Boss said Nwodi and his gang were later confirmed dead at University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital, UPTH, after he sustained serious bullet wounds.
The Exhibits recovered include: AK 47 and live ammunition, Assault rifle, and pump action gun.
CP Emeka also revealed that, Dr Chidi Lloyd, the Chairman of Emohua Local Government Area who had declared him wanted dead or alive and placed a bounty of N2million on him has redeemed the pledged.
Our Correspondent recalled that the late Onuigwe has been linked to the kidnap of about 13 members of National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, returning to Port Harcourt from the Ondo State Orientation Camp. They were abducted at night in the month of May at Rumuji axis of the East-West road in Emohua local government area. He was said to have masterminded the abduction of Justice Azunda the Protocol to Emeka Woke, former Chief of Staff to former Governor Nyesom Wike. Woke is now Commissioner-designate.
CP Emeka also revealed that on June 10, at about 10.30pm hoodlums were operating at East-West road between Ovekwu in Emohua local government area. Through credible intelligence report, Police went into the bush and rescued five victims.
He revealed further that on June 7, 2023, the Police Intercepted one Nna David and Euphraim in possession of one Pump Action gun.
The Commissioner of Police explained that Police personnel on Saturday 11 June, 2023 around Rail club intercepted a total Camry custom colour driven by Kingsley Simeon and Arinze with different plate numbers.
He said charms were also recovered while Investigation is ongoing.
The Police boss reiterated his pledge that war will be on Criminal elements and they will be smoked out from their hideouts and brought to justice.
