Renewed Cult Clash In Rivers Left One Dead

Renewed gangs clash in the Diobu axis of the state capital has left one of the opponents dead after several machetes cuts on the victim.

Although, the incident  Town Crier Online learnt occurred at the noon hour of yesterday in what many eyewitnesses said may have been a reprisal attack from an opponent.

The Town Crier Online have equally learnt that the gangs’ members who stormed the railway axis of a popular Sangana  street that also adjoined education Bustop are between the ages of 18,20 and 23 years old.

Our source said the gangers who took hostage of the session of the rail line where some fairly used clothes seller display their wears before descending on their victim.

The recent killing has cause pandemoniums as traders around the scene of the incident were seen trying to escape from the area so as to avert police arrest or a crossed fire from any weapons used by the gangers.

We learnt the victim after several machetes cuts died on the process our source said he may have been taking to the hospital.

The Town Crier could not establish the identities of the cult groups that actually carried out the action as at press time. But, unconfirmed sources said the attacked may have been between the usual Debam and Island cult or dewell groups.

Although , the Rivers state Police Command is yet to make any comment on the latest development even though the situation has equally caused several traders to dessert the area where the incident occurred for fear of been illegally arrested by the police.

Just yesterday, we also gathered that there was a robbery incident along the Ikwerre Road axis of the state close to the Education Bustop. The robbery incident we learnt took several hours at the glare eyes of the public despite about three police divisions located along the area.
