Police Nab 3 Suspected Kidnappers; Rescue A Male Victim In Rivers

Operatives of Rivers Police Command have arrested three suspected kidnappers in Obelle,Emohua local Government Area on Tuesday 10th January 2023.

Police said based credible intelligence available to Rumuji Police Division, Emohua Local Government Area at on Monday 9th January 2023 at about 8.30pm, they raided the hideout of the kidnap suspects.

The Rumuji Police Division mobilized Patrol Teams and raided the uncompleted building that was being used as a criminal hideout.

In press statement SP Grace Iringe-Koko, the Police Public Relations Officer,PPRO, said one Martin Nze, 37 years old from Awka, Anambra State, was rescued, and his car, a Toyota Corolla with the registration number GG 138 FY, was recovered and taken to the station.

Three of the suspected abductors were: Vincent Sunday aged 25 years from Rumuji, Ekene Micheal aged 29 years from Eliozu, and Mohammed Oluwasegun aged 20 years from Ondo State were arrested.

One Single Barrel Dane Gun was recovered from them. They will be charged in court once the investigations are completed.

The Command reaffirm its commitment to reducing crime and criminality in all its forms to a bare minimum.
