Most wanted notorious Boboski fallout: Police Arrest Gokana LGA Chairman over Suspected Links with most wanted criminal, late Boboski

Crack Detectives from the Rivers State Police Command have arrested Gokana Local Government Chairman, Hon. Paul Vidag Kobani 

In connection with his alleged connection with the most wanted notorious criminal the Boboski.

It was learnt that the arrest of Gokana Local Government Chairman in handcuffs at the early hours of Thursday from his residence was due a very prolonged discreet investigation by undercover detectives of the Command who had been on trail the late Honest Diigbara,aka Boboski.

Public Relations Officer of the command, SP Nnamdi Omoni also confirmed the arrest. He said crack detectives are investigating the Chairman to authenticate allegations of his alleged link with the notorious gang Leader.

The Rivers State Government had on Thursday redeemed the N30 million bounty it placed on the head of Boboski for information which would lead to his arrest.

The most wanted notorious criminal, Boboski died moments after being paraded before journalists at the state police command headquarter.
 Boboski was trailed to during a wake keeping by a team of Policemen and vigilante members at Okorokoro in TAI LGA where he was brought down together with his second in command identified as his immediate younger brother.

During the appearance of State Police Commissioner, Joseph Mukan, on live Silverbird Television and also broadcast by its sister radio station, Rhythm 93.7 fm, Wednesday, revealed that the command had identified prominent Rivers citizens allegedly linked with the proliferation of cultism in the state and that they will be brought to book as nobody is above the law.

He assured the state Government, while receiving the N30million bounty placed of the head of Boboski on Thursday that the remaining members of his gang would be tracked down.
