Just In: Breaking News Governor Wike’s Top Aide Kidnapped By Hoodlums In Army Uniforms

Police Tactical, Anti-Kidnapping Units And Other Security Agencies Have Been Contacted

Daredevil well armed hoodlums dressed in military combat fatigue this morning, Friday January 18  kidnapped Dr. Anugbom Onuoha, the Special Adviser to Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State  on Lands and Survey.

Anugbom was kidnapped in a hotel local located along the Ada George road in Port Harcourt. 

When  contacted, the Spokesman of the Rivers State Police Command, DSP Nnamdi Omoni, confirmed the incident.

“It is true the Dr Anugbom Onuoha, was kidnapped by hoodlums in military uniforms. The Commissioner of Police, Usman Belel, has issued a marching order to all the tactical units, anti-kidnapping units and the Inspector General of Police(IGP)monitoring unit to work round the clock to ensure that the victim is released in record time.”

He said security agencies and other sister security agencies security stakeholders  have been contacted to nab the kidnappers and ensure that the victim is released in record time.

Our correspondent  in Port Harcourt reports that the kidnap of Governor Wike’s top Aide in one of the major high profile kidnap incident since the new Commissioner of Police assumed duty in the state less than two weeks ago.
